Gestural Sketches-a cat and figures
The first sketch is a gesture drawing of my cat bathing. The others of a female nude in motion are taken from the book The Human Figure-a photographic reference for artists by Erik A. Ruby.
Hi Angela Thought I'd hop over and check out your work...which is really good by the way. I'm not sure why, but out of everything I love that cat gesture drawing immensly. I noticed a lot of your pics are blurry...have you tried putting a bit of distance between yourself and the sketchbook ( out in sunlight). I know with my smaller pieces I was getting a blur problem from moving in too near..some wierd thing about the digital I guess...just a thought. Anyway...great start to the blog! ....chuck
Thanks Chuck. I'm going to try taking the pictures with more distance. The camera is a 5 megapixel so it should take good pics. And I like the cat gestures also. I love drawing my cat, they're all contour it seems.
